Such as this one; even though it’s in Belgium, it has a UK reg. It may be easier to get it “kosher” in the UK (first) before registering it here.

I believe you would have to apply for its current V5 (£25). Then you’d have to use the V5 to do a transfer of ownership from Person X to yourself (free, I think).
If the vehicle has been de-registered with the DVLA, you’ll have to register it again. Took 12 weeks on my Defender :/

You might have a little trouble if you’re not in the UK and it hasn’t been properly exported, but your first port of call is the DVLA.
